English summary: The Creed is an integral part of many Protestant church services. Often, the community is invited to confess their faith in the words of the Apostles' Creed. However, the Apostles' Creed has caused controversy repeatedly throughout history and is often perceived as offensive to this day. Talk of the virgin birth or committing to the idea of God as the Creator, for example, can appear strange. The statements regarding judgment day and eternal life can also cause doubts. Drawing on the basic beliefs of the Reformation, Anne Kaefer reveals the factual substance behind the credenda. In the course of her systematic-theological approach to the three articles of faith she emphasizes the inherent cohesion of the creed. Thus, the meaning of the individual statements is revealed in their connectivity. German description: Das Glaubensbekenntnis ist fester Bestandteil vieler evangelischer Gottesdienste. Haufig wird die Gemeinde dazu eingeladen, gemeinsam ihren Glauben mit den Worten des Apostolikums zu bekennen. Doch das Apostolikum war in der Geschichte oft auch Anlass fur Streit und bis heute wird es nicht selten als anstossig empfunden. So befremden etwa die Rede von der Jungfrauengeburt oder das Bekenntnis zu Gott als dem Schopfer. Aber auch die Aussagen zum Gericht und zum ewigen Leben wecken Zweifel. Anne Kafer zeigt auf dem Boden reformatorischer Grunduberzeugungen den Sachgehalt der Glaubenssatze auf. Im systematisch-theologischen Durchgang durch die drei Glaubensartikel bedenkt sie den inneren Zusammenhang des Bekenntnisses. So erschliesst sich die Bedeutung der Einzelaussagen in ihrer Verbundenheit.
