This is a basic gundog training manual aimed at those who wish to
train a gundog themselves. It is for people of all levels of
ability from those who have never trained a dog before to those who
have trained dogs in the past, perhaps using different methods. The
manual tells not only what needs to be taught but gives detailed
descriptions of how this can be done as well as why various aspects
should be incorporated into the teaching programme. It lists
numerous problems encountered by those engaged in the task as well

through channelling the dog's natural abilities in a constructive
