This first volume in a new series of essays from the archive of the
British journal Radical Philosophy reflects upon the rich and
troubled history of the Enlightenment concept of critique as it has
been extended, transformed, translated and betrayed in Marxism,
feminism and post-colonial theory. The editors, Austin Gross, Matt
Hare and Marie Louise Krogh, are PhD candidates in the Centre for
Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP), Kingston University
London.
