Dark Night of the Navajo is a tale of murder, kidnapping,
shapeshifters and dark magic. Cate O'Connor witnesses a murder in a
sweat lodge and can identify the killer. She is kidnapped and
endures a harrowing ride across the desert of the Navajo Nation,
but the killer's motives for kidnapping her are unknown, since he
doesn't intend to kill her. They are pursued by the dead man's
brothers, the FBI and the Navajo police. A confrontation with the
brothers leaves the killer wounded and Cate shooting and killing
one of the brothers. When they reach their destination in the
Canyon de Chelly, Cate experiences an event that leaves her shaken.
Throughout the ordeal, Cate is changed and these changes will
effect her marriage and her life.
