Two sets of identical twin girls are accidentally mixed up at birth and switched - one 'pair' go to a rich family, the other to poor farmers. Years later, the poor twins head to New York for a showdown with a corporation which plans to wipe out their home town, only to find it headed by their real twin sisters. Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin play two twins each in this zany comedy.

Sadie and Rose, and Rose and Sadie. Two women, one wealthy, the other dirt poor, give birth to twin girls on the same day at the same hospital. Two of them get mixed up and go home with the wrong families. Thirty or so years later, Sadie and Rose travel into the city to fight the closure of their town's factory. Unbeknownst to them, the other Sadie and Rose are behind the business deal. Both sets of twins stay at the same hotel, confusing the staff, their business connections and even each other when their paths cross. Hilarious Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin.
