More than a decade pursuing Boris Podrecca at the University of
Stuttgart with his assistant team and generations of students a
gigantic research project, which will now be presented in the first
volume of this almanac of the classics. The bibliophile book
presents 100 outstanding buildings from antiquity to the present
day, including a number of examples of anonymous architecture. It
joins the objects are not in chronological order but according to
content types as "central area", "Directed space", "core and
shell", "frame", "Organ Illustrative Form". This put the buildings
in new and exciting relationships: the Great Mosque of Cordoba and
Atrium House by Jorn Utzon settlement are structurally related in
this view. Exceptional analytical drawings, accompanied by photos
and short texts in German and English, open up the classics of the
building as a journey to the center of the architecture.
