fiction and nonfiction. Practical exercises follow each text,
designed to promote an active approach to reading, Each exercise
focuses on developing one specific reading skill, such as scanning,
drawing inferences, guessing vocabulary from context, and
recognising cohesive links within a text, The Teacher's Manual and
Answer Key provides suggestions for using the book in class, as
well as ideas for warm-up activities and follow-up work.
