Kile is distraught at the death of his fiancee, and runs to the
arms of her roommate Abbey and decides to stay with his basketball
team the Cleveland Calipers of the International Basketball
Assosciation rather than opting out and signing iwht a California
team as he had planned with Abbey. This enables him to stay with
his buddy, LeDodge who is the controversial superstar of the
league. Wally is promoted to player-coach as the Cals drive to
another title. Kile, who was identified as the Second Coming by
Johnny, a Cals assistant in the previous novel, interfaces with the
Christian clergy worldwide using the Olympic exhibition tour as a
vehicle to propel his mission on earth.
