Nana and the Scarlett Lady's Spectacular Christmas Day is a
children's book that introduces a unique cast of unforgettable
characters to young children while providing underlying humor to
adult readers that share in each story experience. As story and
character images coincide to the draw the focus and imagination of
the reader, each story provides the reader with learning
experiences that are magnified through Nana and her characters. The
characters and story line are manifested from the imaginations and
humorous stories shared between two lifelong friends about the
behavior of their elderly mothers at family functions and social
events. This laughable but sometimes bizarre adult behavior, shared
between co-creators Richard Seta and Christopher Baudo, has been
delicately intertwined into the story of the picture book so that
each reader will unknowingly share in humor experienced by the
creators. The relationship of the two main characters, Nana and the
Scarlet Lady, parallel the relationship of the co-creators while
real life humor helps to create small learning lessons of life for
children. As the real life personalities of Nana and Scarlett Lady
have allowed for the creation this picture book, the co-creators, a
police officer and an architect, hope to provide each reader with a
laughable experience.
