A fantasy tale for young adults, set in Kenya. South African
author, Cicely van Straten lived in Kenya for several years and has
incorporated Kenyan mythology into this Tolkein-like tale for young
adults. Tajewo and his frind Meromo love peacefully with their
families and cattle, until one day disaster strikes. Moloch, a
powerful spirit, destroys their homes and kidnaps their families,
He threatens to kill everyone and marry Tajewo's wife unless Tajewo
and Meromo bring home a sacred stone. However, to retrieve the
stone Tajewo and Meromo must capture and kill the huge winged
monster, Geraragua. Their quest seems impossible, but with the help
of the Mother of the Mists they just might succeed...
