pilgrimage from Celtic times, through the early Christian period
and the Middle Ages, to the revival of pilgrimage today. Then the
author describes 15 sites, with a history and personal meditations
on the experience of the Holy in each place. The book includes a
section with contact details for tourist boards and relevant
Ordnance Survey maps.
