All ten episodes of the award-winning mini-series based on the real-life experiences of American paratroopers who fought in Europe during the Second World War.
From their training in Camp Toccoa, Georgia, through their landing in Normandy as part of the D-Day offensive, their participation in the Battle of the Bulge, and all the way up to the final surrender of the German forces, the series follows the adventures of Easy Company, a unit noted for its skill and bravery, but which also suffered a high number of casualties in its journey across Europe.
Also featured are actual interviews with surviving members of the company.

Worthwhile 6-disc ten-part mini-TV series, based on true WWII events involving Easy Company of the parachute infantry regiment of the US Army's 101st Airborne Division. Co-produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, it features an unknown though extremely competent cast, and much superb re-created footage.
Easily the most harrowing episode deals with the men of Easy Company who come across a German concentration camp...and are not quite sure what the place is supposed to be!
This is a big change from the type of "Land of Hope and Glory" pictures that America was churning out in the 1940s and 1950s. Also, there a number of interviews with some of the veterans who actually were in Easy Company at the time.
Excellent value for money (check out Loot's price!) the six DVDs come mounted in a metal container that's been deliberately designed to resemble a genuine ammunition box!

The Best War Series Ever Made
Fri, 1 Feb 2019 | Review
by: Adrian C.
Why has the previous reviewer been so stingy in awarding it only four stars?
This is indisputably the best dramatised war series ever made.
It is difficult to fault and you will find it not only compulsive viewing but , in time, you'll watch it again and again.
I bought my copy about eight or ten years ago and have just finished watching it for the third time.It is profoundly different from usual Hollywood fare - the characters are well drawn ( based upon the actual people portrayed) and the action sequences and acting is, if anything, understated. It has a feeling of authenticity. My teenage daughters were sometimes moved to tears watching what people had to endure to defeat Nazism. Essential viewing for everyone except young children.
