The perfect crayon for non-professional artwork

I have been using Colleen crayons for almost two decades, ever since they were prescribed for us in our first year of school. They are smooth and have a wide variety of colours. The 24 pack includes a metallic gold and silver pencil which kids, and adult colouring fundis, love. I find this to be a very cost-effective alternative to buying water soluble (aquarell) pencils purely for their smoothness and intense colour; however, while they are lovely (and my personal favourite non-soluble crayon) they are not well-suited to finer art. This is perfect for a school child wishing to explore their inner artist and for "colouring in"- for children and adults alike.
