Two brothers move to a new town and soon fall in with the wrong
crowd. Nothing unusual about that, except these particular no-mark
punks also happen to be blood-swilling vampires. The older brother
(Jason Patric) proves easy prey and is soon a fully paid-up member
of the undead. But the younger brother (Corey Haim) is made of
tougher stuff and, along with a couple of friends, decides to make
a stand. Pretty soon the suburbs start swinging to the sound of
teen-vampire combat.

Classic vampire movie where the vampires are not tortured, misunderstood souls, but hardcore bloodsuckers that live their lives to party at night and sleep during the day - sparkly skin not included. The movie has an awesome 80's soundtrack and a couple of eccentric characters that will entertain you from the get go. For those used to the fancy special effects and make up used in today's movies, you will most likely not be impressed with the ones used in this movie - however, that been said, the special effects used were pretty good, and should in no way deter you from watching it. On the plus side, there is plenty of wise-crack humour.
I definitely recommend this movie if you're into the vampire-horror genre.
