1853. Or Masonry in its moral aspects. The author long believed
that the moral aspects of Freemasonry were not as clearly perceived
or as highly appreciated by the Craft in general as they should be.
He has aimed to stay this tide of moral desolation in an Order he
had long been a member of, whose principles he regard with
reverence, and among whose members he hoped to live and die. It is
written with plainness and simplicity. To improve, rather than
please, those who will most likely read it, was the end and aim of
the author.
