James Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica but his peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help.

The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Both disks work fine. As a Bond movie I found plot was drawn out and much filmed in the shadows which to me hides good acting. Most Bond movies introduce international flavor of scenery, local custom and daytime/outdoor action which was thin and disappointingly missing.

I was amazed as I watched it, and agree with the majority of critics that it is among the best Bond films of all times. It contains all the elements which are required for a thrilling view: good action sequences, tense moments, witty dialogue and humour, as well as a dramatic ending which I don't want to spoil by telling you what it is, because you will have to see it for yourself!
