This first collection of poems contains mostly short, easy-to-read
pieces that make little demand on the reader except that they be
enjoyed. This is, in other words, a poetry to be consumed. Set
primarily in suburban Washington, D.C., they cover everything from
the simple pleasures of local landmarks to the quintessential
experience of starting a new life in a new subdivision. Readers
familiar with Imagist poetry or the poetry of T.S. Eliot and Ezra
Pound will find much to enjoy here.
