Excellent speaker, but not a very good phone stand.

Great little wired speaker with excellent battery life and good sound quality. The cable is fixed to the device, but tucks away neatly under the speaker when in storage. The only real downside is that the lip on the pull out drawer for standing your phone on is too narrow to safely hold any modern day smartphones.
