5 - Ed Sheeran CD Box Set

Before his international breakthrough single "The A Team" and his major-label full-length debut album "+", British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran released eight limited edition Extended Play (EP) recordings in the hope of garnering a recording contract. These recordings were issued on his own independent Gingerbread Man Records / Edsheeran, com label between March 2005 and January 2011. After the international success of his first two albums, Atlantic Records re-issued five of these EPs in 2015: "You Need Me" (2009), "Loose Change" (2010), "Songs I Wrote With Amy" (2010), "Live At The Bedford" (2010) and "No. 5 Collaborations Project" (2011) in a Cardboard slipcase housing the discs in retro miniature cardboard LP sleeves. The physical discs have mock-vinyl labels imitating the originals. The original releases have appreciated in value in the collectors market, so this is the ideal opportunity for the dedicated (and cost-concerned) Ed Sheeran fan to obtain his early recordings at a budget price.
Early versions of "The A Team" appear on both "Live At The Bedford" (in live form) and "No. 5 Collaborations Project" (as a re-titled rap / acoustic collaborative remake entitled "Little Lady"). Both these embryonic versions were released prior to the appearance of the song as a UK single.
The remaining three Gingerbread Man Records / Edsheeran, com EPs: "The Orange Room" (2005), "Ed Sheeran" (2006) and "Want Some?" (2007) have not yet been re-issued and Atlantic Records may couple these with a later EP "One Take" (issued on Atlantic in 2011) for a subsequent boxset.
