Originally intended as a Master's Thesis in English Literature, The
Stagnant Civilization was violently rejected by the author's
advisory committee. In a normal analysis of William Faulkner's
great novel Absalom, Absalom , this inquiry necessarily confronts
the effect of Racism in American society, and then proceeds toward
startling conclusions which transcend Literary Criticism by
positing implications for Society as a whole, and pointing toward a
new and multicultural social paradigm.
