inventer named Steve Mantooth who has an uncanny knowledge of
things scientific and mechanical. He has developed a host of
inventions, most notably a revolutionary and controversial hydrogen
generator. In the space of one week, Mantooth's business partner is
killed, he is bankruped, his office is firebombed, and he is being
hunted by both the police and a team of mysterious government
agents who operate outside the law and want him dead He discovers
that no one in his life is who they seem to be. He eludes his
pursuers from Orlando to Chicago and back again in an attempt to
save his inventions and his reputation, along the way Steve
unexpectedly stumbles into the love of his life. They are aided by
an unlikely group of friends: a NASA pilot, a gay clothing desinger
and a crusty detective who puts his own life on the line to see
justice served.
