Located in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay lies the isolated
island of Forbes, locally known as Uist Skerrie - named so by
ship-wrecked Scottish ancestors who took refuge and forged out a
life centuries before...
Dr. Bralley Glenn, fresh out of her residency and planning to join
a prestigious practice in Baltimore is suddenly served with a rural
community binder to practice for four years on the island of her
birth - an island she has no memory for, her life blank since
before the age of seven.
She is forced to confront her lost memories of childhood as well as
deal with the archaic language and customs of the island. Two men
capture her attention, a marine biologist who was her island

to day challenges of her new life are the myths and legends of Uist
Skerrie's past and present, of love deeper than human bond and the
inconceivable but entrancing lure of the islanders' tales of sea
creatures known as selkies, great silver seals of the sea that
shape-shift to entrancing, sensual men on land.
