This book highlights the work of faculty in many disciplines who
have connected service-learning with their teaching and
scholarship. The challenge of Christian scholarship in
service-learning is to use the scholarly tool of our disciplines,
with perspective and goals originating from the faith tradition, to
describe how community connections enable us to be agents of
renewal in society.
