CSI: New York - Complete Season 5 (DVD, Boxed set)

This fifth season, featuring my favourite team of Crime Scene Investigators, carries on immediately from the thrilling cliffhanger at the end of season four. The standards are still kept remarkably high throughout, and all 25 episodes are quite exciting and thrilling in their own right.

Their are quite a few story arcs which progress over multiple episodes this season, the smartest one featuring Mac going to head-to-head with a media mogul, played by guest star Craig T. Nelson. This battle of wills carries on right through to the suspenseful and action-packed final episode, which once again, ends with you on the edge of your seat breathlessly awaiting season six.

This is the only C.S.I. which I continue to watch, as the ones set in Las Vegas and Miami just pale in comparison, with regards to performances; storylines and originality. (Plus, the New York setting with the skyscrapers and urban melting pot, is definitely an added bonus). The best of the best! (5 out of 5, by Carlisle Johnson)
