In this book of poems, you may think the author is an artist with
words. He uses words and phrases like an artist uses paints and
brushstrokes. With words, he paints the most pleasant images in
your mind. His colors are his emotions which he puts into poetry so
artfully. His shades are the dark, unwanted realities of life,
which he so deftly balances with light, or thoughts of
illumination.
One impressionistic poem, "Dream Music" (p. 12), gives you the
same feeling as the most lovely impressionistic painting. It makes
you wonder how he does it. Impressionistic poetry? He also writes
expressionistic poetry, such as "Get Excited" (p. 29). Of course,
he also includes other kinds of verse in this book of Poetic
Art.
