As the title 'End Pieces' might imply, the endings define each
tale, not all of them as they seem. Death and Uncertainty stalk,
variously to surprise, shock, amuse, sadden, repel. In 'The
Disappearance', why does Edwin break down? In 'A Solution Springs
To Mind', did Gerald play a hand? Are we really to think the
unthinkable in 'Finders Keepers'? Do you deny some sympathy for the
guy 'Looking After The Environment'? Can our future be found in
'Anyone For Tea'? Read 'Chime Of Your Life' and ask yourself what
sort of neighbours you have! If these little stories evoke some
emotion, they will have worked : Death by Indifference has yet to
be written!
