Glen Aylward is a psychologist who has been in clinical practice
for 35 years, an experience that has led to many memorable
encounters. These vignettes are reconstructed and combined into
fictitious sessions that provide the springboard to recollections
of the author's own childhood on the East Coast in the '50's and
60's. The author portrays himself as the erstwhile psychologist,
Glint Wayward, engaged in humorous clinical encounters, who then in
turn reminisces about actual (with some alteration and
exaggeration) family and neighborhood events and observations. A
