This collection from the RSCM is an important resource for all
church choirs from competent parish to cathedral level. The last
20-30 years have seen a considerable creative flowering among the
top rank of English composers, stimulated by the liturgical
developments of the period and by the challende of writing for both
singers and audiences in an accessible but non-trivial way. The
items included, some with organ, some unaccompanied, have been
selected to display a wide range of styles and to cover a variety
of occasions.
