This collection from the RSCM brings together an exciting group of
recent works for upper-voice church and school choirs. The English
anthem tradition has blossomed in the last 30 years, as composers
have reacted, in a wide variety of styles, to the stimulus of fine
texts, old and new. They have also responded to the health and
vigour of upper-voice choirs. Here are twenty-two first-rate
anthems, at varying levels of difficulty. They come from some of
the most distinguished composers in the field, and are chosen to
cover a broad range of occasions.
