Proceedings of an international conference, Vienna, 31 August - 4
September 1998. The objective of the conference was to foster the
exchange of information on topical issues in nuclear, radiation and
radioactive waste safety, with the aim of consolidating an
international consensus on the current status of these issues,
priorities for future work, and the need for strengthening
international co-operation, including recommendations for the
IAEA's future activities. The proceedings contain the opening
session addresses, topical issue papers, keynote presentations,
current issue presentations, conclusions of the six technical
sessions and the conference chairperson's summary of findings and
conclusion, as well as a CD-ROM with all contributed papers.
