reader, they combined a comprehensive approach to various aspects
of physical and human geography with an emphasis on clarity. This
guide to North Lancashire by J. E. Marr was first published in
1912. The text is interspersed with numerous illustrative figures
and also contains a list of the chief towns and villages within the
area.
