"Son of a Dog" is a satiric/humorous work of fiction, solidly based
on real-life events. It begins with a little girl who, at age 7,
was given a puppy from her parents. Months later, she was crushed
and heartbroken when a new home was found for him. The tone of the
story changes quickly, however. Fast-forward thirty years later.
The girl, now a grown woman, adopts a retired, rescued Greyhound.
And the games begin. The dog causes her to enter into some
hilarious situations with the neighbors, her boss, mall security,
the police and more. You don't need to be a dog lover to appreciate
this book; just a fan of Murphy's Law - when it applies to other
people.
