In 1914 the world is in turmoil with war fast approaching. The
holiday town of Douglas, Isle of Man, is bursting with visitors
eager to grab some sense of normality before the inevitable
declaration tears their world apart. The sparkle of diamonds and
flashing eyes lead to a robbery, that quickly turns leads to
murder. Edward is trapped with no hope of escape except the chance
to enlist and hide in the crowd, sure that it would all be over by
Christmas. However, life expectancy at the front line is measured
in seconds. The soldiers tin box lies hidden for many years, its
location known only to a casualty of war. Desire to posess the
jewel is so strong that it continues beyond the grave.
