Snowdonia is one of Britain's foremost National Parks and draws
thousands of visitors every year. This collection presents a
picture of life in the Park at the end of the 19th and beginning of
the 20th century, showing the people of Snowdonia and the
characteristic industries in which they worked - sheep farming,
metal mining and quarrying slate and stone - industries which have
declined and all but disappeared in an economy now geared to
tourism.
