Missy's Babies begins when a very skinny and frightened cat appears in the neighborhood. The cat hides under the bushes and runs from people when they get too close. After befriending the cat and convincing it to come into the house, JoAnn Hill determines that "it" is a girl and decides to call her Missy. JoAnn tries in vain to find her owner, but no one claims her. Gradually, she becomes part of the family. One day, they notice that Missy is gaining weight.
