In the Land of Shades, a shadowy place dominated by foreboding, a
shaft of light cuts into the top of a mountain. It is said that,
many centuries ago, the Shining One ascended there. It is also said
to be the place where residents of the Land must go to reach final
peace. Accompanied by their guide, five recently deceased travelers
face the hazards of the mountain and set out for the Light,
learning to rely on one another and confronting their past failures
along the way.
