Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 - Dead Man's Chest (English, Italian, German, Blu-ray disc)

Director Gore Verbinsky reunites us with anti-hero Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp); Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightly) in another most entertaining comedy-action pirate romp – together with their various allies and antagonists. But here we also get to focus in on the ghastly Davy Jones (Bill Nighty), the captain of the legendary The Flying Dutchman, and whose heart lies a-beating in the Dead Man’s Chest for which many are searching – and for which Jones himself has the only key! We also get to meet Will’s dead father, “Bootstrap "Bootstrap Bill" Turner (Stellan Skarsgård), another unwilling recruit aboard the Dutchman ; voodoo priestess Tia Dalma (Naomie Harris), and are introduced to the Cracken – a large and terrifying sea monster, that makes even Disney’s giant squid from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea seem almost puny in comparison.

In addition to the action that you won’t be disappointed in expecting: there’s a glorious piece of nonsensical dialogue between Sparrow and Gibbs (Kevin McNally) right near the beginning, that will satisfy even ardent of Lewis Carroll fans (like me, for one).

The ending points directly towards At the World’s End; the next film of the series.
