The Client
When young Mark and his brother sneak off to the woods for a smoke, they stumble upon a fat mob lawyer about to commit suicide, who tells Mark where a dead body is hidden. Carl Lee Hailey seeks violent revenge after his 10-year-old daughter is brutally assaulted. When his actions lead to his arrest, lawyer Jake Brigance has to battle against mounting pressure from both the Ku Klux Klan and the Civil Rights Movement to save Carl from Death Row.
