This is a very slick film boasting incredible cinematography and astonishing sets. A first modern horror film that plays on psyche instead of the level of disgust factor we typically see nowadays. Adventuristic elements of producer Robert Zemeckis of "Back to the Future" fame can still be seen here albeit more intense, gripping and indefinately scary. This is an instant classic in the true sense of the genre.
