1646. Wherein these three following propositions are undeniably
proved, and all objections to the contrary fully answered. That if
magistrates, in cases of necessity, promise heretics liberty of
religion, they are bound to perform their promise after that
necessity. That magistrates may with a safe conscience grant
heretics liberty of religion, and oblige themselves by an oath, or
bond of assurance, to provide for their safety and security. That
