It takes on a darker and more somber tone than previous offerings as a result of the deployment of Second Lieutenant Betsy Bitter, Centurion's wife, to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban and the gumshoe's efforts to track down the individual who has taken to murdering the ladies who provide comfort to the men who frequent the Lake Superior Gentlemen's Club. A good read for those who appreciate the best of the genre.
