Kurt Russell returns as eye-patched renegade Snake Plissken. This time he has to wade through the ruined Los Angeles of 2013, his mission being the recovery of a doomsday device.
Los Angeles is now ruled by the South American revolutionary Cuervo Jones, who has obtained the device from the President's daughter, Utopia.
Plissken has to stop him before he destroys the planet, and also before he dies from a virus which the President has injected him with to ensure his co-operation.
