The poems in 'Evening Delights' are the expression of the poet's
love of nature, love of man and the celebration of life. Commenting
on his poems in Hindi, Atal Behari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister
of India and a renowned poet said that 'almost all the poems
depicted nature in an attractive manner.' Man and nature in the
poet's view are inseparable, interdependent and affectionately
related. While the poet captures the beauty of everyday world of
nature with vividness, he also sounds a warning note that
environmental pollution and degradation would cost the human race
dearly. The poems on the love of man deal with a range of relations
and emotions: familial, social and romantic. The social issues
taken up in the poems are the sharing of thoughts with an open mind
without any prejudice or reservation. The love poems by the author
capture moments of intensity and intimacy with great sensitivity.
All the poems are eminently readable and give the pleasure, like
the pleasure of conversation among friends and like minded people.
