The Colonel bullied my sisters and drank to excess, lamenting the mysterious exit of his actress wife who left her daughter, Lucinda, behind. Now a teenager, Lucinda's budding sexuality aroused the lust in Aurora's son, George, a (really lousy) riverboat gambler.
