In installations where the cable connection is frequently disconnected and reconnected (e.g. in the area of hardware testing), the adapter can be used to extend the lifespan of the actual ports on the devices. Please note: it is common for desktop PCs to have HDMI ports function in the opposite configuration. If this is applicable, please check whether this or the opposing adapter (41085) is required.
