Excellent Echo II

Have been using the pen for 5 days now (with Livescribe experience of well over 10 years now with the previous versions, Echo, Livescribe 3 and Aegir) and, so far, so good. The Echo II is a phenomenal device in the sense that it finally integrates Bluetooth & USB capabilities. Connecting the Pen to a Bluetooth speaker also not a problem and I've found that a PC and/or mobile device's integrated Bluetooth actually now recognises the pen (as opposed to some previous models) Having said that, only two things bother... (1) Associated audio file transfer to PC requires a USB connection, regardless of the real time Bluetooth connection. Now this is not a problem if you've got a USB-C cable at hand and anyway, this is an Echo thing, (2) the OCR technology Livescribe+ incorporates needs to be updated (My rating here is a B)... To those familiar with legacy technologies MyScript Notes for Livescribe, that is working exceptionally well (My rating here is B+) but can however not be used with the new Echo II on Livescribe+. Overall, I'm impressed with the device. Ito Loot, the online platform... Great service and efficiency. The Echo range is the best for students on all levels and I hope that it can be integrated throughout the educational system.
