Great headset

This is a great USB headset, which I needed because I have a problem with my computer's sound card (USB headsets have their own sound cards, apparently, so using one bypasses your computer's sound card). I have an older version of this headset, bought about 6 or 7 years ago, which is great and still works fine, although the leatherette covering of the earpieces has mostly disintegrated, so it's a bit scratchy to wear now. It seems one can expect the leatherette to last maybe 4 or 5 years, based on other reviews I've read. Apart from that, this is a great headset -- comfortable and light, with excellent sound quality. Just to note, though, that if you're expecting the large earpieces that cover your entire ear, as in many noise-cancelling headsets, you may be disappointed: they just sit *on* your ears, not *over* them. The noise-cancelling in the description appears to refer only to the microphone, in other words the sound you transmit through the headset, and not to the headphones -- so don't expect to have all your background noise blocked out when you're wearing them :-)
