Complete collection of the four feature-length ITV drama thrillers based on the book by Kate Summerscale about real-life historical crimes. In 'The Murder at Road Hill House', Paddy Considine stars as Jonathan Whicher, the Scotland Yard detective who is called in to investigate after the three-year-old son of a wealthy Home Counties couple is found dead in the grounds of their home. Detective Whicher returns in 'The Murder in Angel Lane' when Susan Spencer (Olivia Coleman)'s 16-year-old niece goes missing on the notoriously dangerous Angel Lane. In 'Beyond the Pale', Whicher is called in by politician Sir Edward Shore (Nicholas Jones) to personally investigate threats made to his son's life. In 'The Ties That Bind', Whicher is employed to follow the wife of a wealthy landowner to try to prove her adultery.
