Fantastic pencils for adult colouring

Don't let all the reviews stating 'my toddler love them' fool you. They are too good for toddlers. These pencils are perfect for adult colouring. The leads are super soft, with lots of pigment, and one has to use almost no pressure to get rich colour down on the page. They blend and layer perfectly and smoothly. The leads are break resistant, and one can sharpen it to a very sharp point perfect for detail work. One do need a large Lyra Ferby sharpener as the thick barrel will not fit into regular sharpeners. The thick, triangular barrel is also great for people with arthritis as they are easier to hold and control. I think they are better quality (or as good as) the artist quality Lyra Rembrandt Polycolors, which I also own. Definitely better quality than Lyra Groove Slims. The only drawback is the limited range of colours. I wish Lyra would make these in 72 colour sets like the Rembrandts. In total there are 20 regular colours, 12 metallic colours and 6 neon colours currently available in the range. Only 16 regular colours and gold and silver metallics are included in this set, which comes in a tin case. The four other regular colours need to be bought separately in singles. The metallics are even smoother than the regular colours.
