Songs of Grace and Pain - these poems more than anything remind us
of the Psalms. Like the Psalmist trying to make sense out of God's
dealings with him, the poet is not afraid to voice his deepest
fears, reveal his innermost thoughts, or boldly ask those
uncomfortable questions to a God with whom he yearns to relate.
There is a passionate intensity in the poems which express a deep
hunger for God not commonly found in contemporary Christian verse.
What stands out in this collection of poems is the openness and
honesty with which the poet confronts the reality of Christian
experience. Many of the poems subject the reader to spirtual open
-heart surgery and will leave him longing for a more real and
intimate relationship with God. "Manoj's poetry has a real
child-like sweetness to them. They will point you to Jesus." Paul
E. Miller, author of A Praying Life
